The Pink House Banwen

The Pink House is in Banwen, which is a village in the upper Swansea Valley. It's a cul-de-sac so it's quiet. The house is, well, pink. A proper bright pink.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, so that's handy. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and has what you need. The main bedroom has an en-suite shower room. The living area is all open plan, with the kitchen off to one side. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine.

Out the back there's a decent sized garden, fully enclosed, with a patio area and a BBQ. There's also a garage you can use for storing bikes or walking gear. You can bring up to three dogs.

In the village there's a local pub. For a shop, you'd drive to Coelbren or Glynneath, both about five minutes away.

You're right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Henrhyd Waterfall, the tallest in South Wales, is literally two miles up the road. The Sgwd Henrhyd car park is a ten minute drive. From there you can walk down to the falls. It's stunning.

If you want to do the waterfall walk proper, the start of the Four Falls Trail is in Pontneddfechan, about four miles away. That's a good few hours walking. The Craig-y-Nos country park is about twenty minutes drive, good for a gentler stroll.

For a day out, the National Showcaves are about half an hour away towards Swansea. The Gower coast, like Rhossili Bay, is about a 45 minute drive. Swansea city centre is about 40 minutes.

Facilities wise: everything's included. Bedding, towels, WiFi, TV. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking for two cars on the drive.
