Helen's Shepherds Hut is here in Haxton. It's a one-off, detached hut in a field. It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
It's fully insulated with sheep's wool and has underfloor heating, so it's warm in winter. The kitchen is a mini one with a microwave and a plug-in hob. There's a double bed, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included.
You look out onto a meadow. There are cows in the next field, sometimes they come up to the fence. A footpath runs through the field if you want a walk. There's a garden area for you and a fire pit you can use when it's dry.
The welcome includes a hamper-style breakfast with tea, coffee, and a few other bits.
You can bring one dog. We leave out water bowls, some treats, and a dog towel.
There are country pubs you can walk to from here. Netheravon village is close, they've got a coffee shop and a convenience store.
For days out, Stonehenge is just over five miles away. Salisbury is about fourteen miles. Bath, Marlborough, and Devizes are all within a thirty minute drive. Salisbury Plain is good for walking and cycling, we can store your bikes securely.
