The Old Stables

The Old Stables is in Blackdown, which is part of an old farm on the edge of Leamington Spa. It's next to our house, but you have your own space and a private garden.

It sleeps four. There is one proper double bedroom, and a double sofa bed in the living room for two more people if needed. So it's best for a couple, or two adults and two children. It's been freshly done up this year. The bathroom is new, with a shower over the bath. The stairs from the kitchen up to the living room are just a few steps, but they are quite steep. You'll see.

You're welcome to bring one dog. There's a field next to the garden where you can walk them off the lead. We keep ducks and bees here, so we sometimes leave fresh eggs and honey for guests. If the ducks are being noisy in the morning, that's why.

Leamington Spa is about a ten minute drive. It's a nice town for a walk around the parks and the shops. Warwick Castle is about fifteen minutes away. Kenilworth Castle is a bit closer. Stratford-upon-Avon is roughly twenty-five minutes in the car if you want to see the Shakespeare stuff. For bigger events, the NEC and Stoneleigh Park are very close, maybe ten or fifteen minutes.

In terms of what's here, the kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's bike storage if you need it. All the bedding and towels are included, and we have a cot and highchair. Parking is right outside. The garden has a patio and a barbecue.
