Goose Green House Sutton Bridge

Goose Green House is a bungalow on the edge of Sutton Bridge. It's all on one level, which is handy for some. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well-finished. There's a washing machine and parking.

The garden is enclosed. It's a good size and gets the sun in the afternoon. It's quiet out there.

Sutton Bridge itself is a small Fenland town. The river Nene and the bridge are the main features. There's a Co-op supermarket a few minutes' drive away for basics. The coastline here isn't sandy beaches, it's wide, open marsh and estuary. It's for birdwatchers and walkers, not bucket-and-spade holidays. You can get to the sea bank about a ten minute drive away.

For a proper day at the beach, you're looking at a drive. Hunstanton, with its town beach and cliffs, is about half an hour. The sandy beach at Holkham in Norfolk is just over that.

If you like golf, Sutton Bridge golf course is very close. Fishing is available on the river and drains locally, hence it being listed.

If you want to explore further, King's Lynn is about 25 minutes by car. They've got a historic centre and a market. The RSPB reserves at Snettisham and Titchwell are within half an hour if birds are your thing. To the north, Lincoln and its cathedral are about an hour's drive.
