Seascape Barn is near Ervie in Dumfriesshire. It's a single building away from everyone else, set back from the road.
It's rated 5 Star. That basically means it's well done and the fixtures are new. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both of them kingsize beds. One of them can be split into two singles. One bathroom, which has a separate shower and a free standing bath.
The main room is open plan. Kitchen at one end, dining table in the middle, sofas at the other. There are big windows looking out, so you get a lot of light. The wood burner works well.
It looks south over the fields to the sea, and you can see Corsewall Lighthouse out to the left. The view is really the main thing.
Parking is easy, right next to the barn. The garden is yours to use. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and Wi-Fi. We provide all bedding and towels. A cot, highchair, and stairgate are here if you need them.
Stranraer is the nearest big town, about ten minutes by car. It's a proper harbour town. You can walk along the front, and Agnew Park has a boating lake and a play area for kids. There's a supermarket there and a few pubs for food.
There's a local pub a short drive away, and plenty of golf courses around here. You can drive to the Mull of Galloway, which is the southernmost point in Scotland. It's run by the National Trust for Scotland. Good for a walk.
The Rhins of Galloway coast is good for walking. For a longer day out, you can drive up to Ayr or across to Dumfries in about half an hour.
