Brackenwood

Brackenwood is in Caldy, which is on the Wirral. It's a big old house with a separate cottage in the grounds, so it sleeps a lot of people. There's a gate and it's private.

It's a proper period house, so the rooms are big and the ceilings are high. The main house has six bedrooms and the cottage has two. There are five bathrooms between them. Because it's an old house, the stairs are a bit steep in places.

The kitchen is very well equipped, with a big table and doors that open onto the terrace. There's a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. The cottage was done up recently and has its own kitchen, so it's self-contained.

Outside, there's a lot of garden. There's a sun terrace with a hot tub and a sauna. There's a putting green, a ping pong table, and a gas BBQ. At the bottom of the garden there's a fish pond. Part of the garden can be enclosed for dogs or children, and there's a swing.

You're right next to Caldy Hill, which is woods and heathland. You can walk straight onto it from the house. West Kirby is about a mile away. That's where the beach and the marine lake are. You can walk out to Hilbre Island at low tide. There's a local pub within a mile.

For golf, Royal Liverpool at Hoylake is very close. Chester is about a 30 minute drive. Liverpool is about 40 minutes, depending on the traffic.

Facilities wise: all bedding and towels are included. There's a cot available. The property is rated 5 Star. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking on the drive.
