This is Airor. It's in Ferindonald on the Isle of Skye. The house is detached. You get a good bit of garden all to yourself, mostly patio with some grass. It looks over the water and Sleat peninsula, which they call the Garden of Skye. The view is the main thing, really.
It takes four people. Two bedrooms, both doubles. One bathroom with a shower. It's a four star place, so it's comfortable, not just basic. It's open plan downstairs. The wood burner does a good job. There's underfloor heating too.
The stairs are normal stairs. Nothing tricky.
You're right on the coast but there's no beach right next to the house. The nearest one is about eight miles. For a shop, you've got a small one a couple of miles south. The main town is Broadford, about fifteen miles north. That's where the bigger Co-op is. There's a pub and restaurant about five miles away.
If you're here for walking, you're well placed for the woodland walks around here. Wildlife is good. You might see eagles. Boat trips go out from various points if you want to see the Cuillin mountains from the water.
Armadale Castle and the Clan Donald Centre aren't far. You can get the ferry to Mallaig from there.
For seeing the rest of the island, Portree is about an hour north. The famous bits like the Old Man of Storr, the Quiraing, and the Fairy Pools are all within a 30 to 45 minute drive from here. Dunvegan Castle is about 40 minutes west. Neist Point lighthouse is a bit further on. The road ends and you have to walk down steps to it.
What's here: washing machine, dishwasher, TV, parking for your car. All the bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
