The Mansion House At Kirkhill
The Mansion House at Kirkhill is near Gorebridge. It's nine miles from Edinburgh city centre. The house is very big. It sleeps up to 35 people in 14 bedrooms. There are 12 bathrooms, most of them ensuite.
It's a historic house from the 18th century, so expect high ceilings and big windows. The rooms are traditional. The main hall has a large fireplace and patio doors leading to the garden. There's a piano in there if anyone plays.
The house sits in its own land, about thirty acres of gardens and fields. You get good views of the Pentland Hills. It's quiet.
It's a 4 Star property. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The beds can be set up as doubles, twins, or bunk rooms depending on what you need. All linen and towels are provided.
We accept big groups including families, stag or hen parties, and company retreats. You can bring up to three dogs.
Inside, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and wifi. There's a wood burning stove in the main hall. Parking is on site. We can provide a cot.
The area is good for walking and cycling on the Pentland Hills. There's local golf and horse riding. For a day out, Edinburgh is obvious. The city centre is about a 20 minute drive. You're also well placed for the Borders.
