Harvieston Hall

Harvieston Hall is out near Gorebridge. It's a big, old house from the 1600s. It sleeps twenty-three people, with nine bedrooms and four bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped, but historic. The ceilings are high and some of the doors are tall.

There's a proper dining room where everyone can sit down together. The living room has a wood burner, which is good on cooler evenings. For practical stuff, there are two kitchens and a washing machine. The games room is useful if the weather turns.

The house is detached and set back from the road, so it's very quiet and private. You've got your own garden and patio area with a barbecue. The driveway is huge, so parking for multiple cars isn't a problem.

You're about half an hour's drive south of Edinburgh city centre. That's close enough for a day out, but you're coming back to peace and quiet. The beach at Musselburgh is about fourteen miles away.

There's a local pub nearby. You can also arrange horse riding locally, and there's a golf course not far from here. We can allow up to three well-behaved dogs.
