Harvieston Hall is a big house near Gorebridge. It sleeps twenty nine people, so it's really for large groups. There are eleven bedrooms and six bathrooms.
It's a historic building, built in the 1600s. The ceilings are high and the rooms are large. The main living room has a big open fireplace. The dining room seats twenty four. The main kitchen is traditional, and there's a second kitchen on the first floor which is more modern and has a games table.
The stairs are the original grand staircase. They're fine, but they are what they are. The master bedroom on the first floor is very large and has a bathroom with a domed ceiling. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor, four on the first floor, and three on the second floor.
There's a private garden and a hot tub at the back of the house. The driveway has space for quite a few cars.
You're about a ten minute drive from the edge of Edinburgh. The city centre is half an hour away by car. For local walks, the Pentland Hills are close by. The coast at Musselburgh or North Berwick is about a thirty minute drive.
Facilities: there are two dishwashers, two fridges, a washing machine, WiFi, and a games table. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to three dogs.
