Whitehouse Studio Bilston

Whitehouse Studio is in Bilston, Midlothian. It's a detached cottage, so you're on your own. The location is good because you're on the edge of the Pentland Hills, but it's about seven miles south of Edinburgh city centre. It's handy for getting into town.

The place sleeps four. There are two bedrooms upstairs, and two bathrooms. One bathroom is an ensuite to the main bedroom. It's got a four-star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-finished. The living area has patio doors out to a private garden.

Edinburgh is the main draw. You can drive in, or there's a bus stop five minutes walk away. The bus takes about half an hour to Princes Street. For the Festival or busy times, using the Straiton Park and Ride is easier. The tram from Ingliston is another option. The St James Quarter is a big new shopping and dining area if that's your thing.

Roslin Chapel is nearby and worth a visit. The Pentland Hills are right there for walking. Hillend dry ski slope is a few miles away.

You can reach a lot of places within an hour or so. St Andrews, Loch Lomond, Stirling, Glasgow. Closer by, Peebles in the Borders is about half an hour south. North Berwick on the coast is an easy drive east.

As for facilities, it's got the basics covered. Washing machine, dishwasher, on-site parking, Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
