The house is called Maari. It's in a place called Ahmore, on North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. It's a detached house in a small crofting township, so it's quiet. You've got fields around you.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms. Two bathrooms, which is handy. One of the double bedrooms is on the ground floor with its own ensuite. The other double and a twin room are upstairs. The stairs are standard, not a spiral or anything.
There's a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen has what you need and a table to eat at. The gardens are enclosed. You can park three cars round the back.
You're about ten minutes drive from Clachan Sands, which is a lovely beach. There's an RSPB reserve nearby too. The Hebridean Way cycle route goes right past the house, so it's good for bikes or a run.
Lochmaddy is the main village, where the ferry comes in. It's got a museum and arts centre called Taigh Chearsabhagh if you're interested. You can see some old ruins around, like the Trinity Temple at Carinish. It's a good base if you want to explore the other islands like Benbecula or Harris.
The facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
Useful links if you're looking into things: National Trust for Scotland (St Kilda) and NatureScot. They've got good information about the area.
