Clover Cottage is in Sollas on North Uist. It's a detached bungalow. We built it new about five years ago, so everything works and it's well insulated. You get a 4 Star rating, which covers the basics plus a bit more.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one double and one with twin beds. One bathroom with a walk-in shower. The main room is open plan, kitchen and living area together. Doors go straight out to the garden.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have kids or a dog. There's a decking area. You look out over fields to the sea. It's about a ten minute walk down to the beach at Sollas. It's a big, sandy beach and you often have it to yourself.
There's a separate outbuilding with a washing machine and a table tennis table. You can also store bikes or kayaks in there. The parking is right next to the cottage.
North Uist is quiet. There's a shop and a cafe at Malaclate, which is a few minutes' drive away. The main thing to do is be outside. Walk the beaches, watch the birds, cycle the quiet roads. You're connected by causeway to Benbecula and South Uist, so you can explore without getting a ferry. The ferry to Harris is from Berneray, which is about twenty minutes away by car.
Facilities are all included: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, bedding and towels. It's a good spot for fishing. No pets, sorry.
