Loch Farm Stables

This is Loch Farm Stables. It's a bungalow, so everything is on one level. That means no stairs at all. It's detached out in the countryside near Watton.

It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom attached. That's handy if you've got a full group. It's a modern place, done up to a high standard. Some cottages feel a bit worn, but this one doesn't. It has a 5 Star rating.

The main room is open plan. Kitchen, dining, sitting area all together. The sofa area has a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. Big sliding doors open straight out into the garden. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one, and there's on site parking.

The garden is enclosed. It leads onto a bigger meadow area that's also fenced. Good space for kids or a dog to run about. There's a hot tub out there. It looks out over fields. You can see the local golf course in the distance.

It's a good spot for getting out and about. The coast at Wells-next-the-Sea or Hunstanton is about 45 minutes away. Norwich is a bit less, maybe 40 minutes. The Norfolk Broads are within half an hour's drive for a boat trip.

Right nearby, there's Loch Neaton for fishing. Thetford Forest is good for walking or cycling. The Peddars Way runs through it. Wayland Wood is a short drive away, it's an ancient woodland looked after by the Woodland Trust.

Useful links for planning: National Trust Norfolk, and the Visit Norfolk site has lots of ideas.

Practical things: You can bring up to two dogs. The local pub, shops, and the golf course are about three quarters of a mile away. Watton itself has the usual supermarkets and takeaways.
