Horseshoes House

Horseshoes House is in Saham Toney, a village a bit south of Swaffham. It’s an old brick and flint building. It sleeps up to ten people, but it works best as a big family or group, not for a random mix.

The main house has bedrooms upstairs, one double and three twins, plus a family bathroom. The stairs in the main bit are quite steep, which is normal for these houses. Downstairs, you have two sitting rooms. One has an open fireplace, the other a wood burner. There's a big dining room.

Attached to the back is an annexe with its own door from the garden. That's got a double bed upstairs and a sofa bed downstairs, a small kitchen area, and a shower room with a bath. It's useful if some people want a bit of separation.

The garden at the back is enclosed, good for kids or dogs. There’s a hot tub out there. There’s parking for several cars.

The village has a shop and a pub, which are both about a five to ten minute walk away. The pub serves food.

If you want to go out, Thetford Forest is about a 25 minute drive. Lots of walking and cycling trails there, plus the High Lodge centre. Norwich city centre, with the castle and the cathedral, is about half an hour by car. The North Norfolk coast, for beaches and towns like Wells-next-the-Sea, is about 45 minutes to an hour away.

In terms of what's here: all bedding and towels are included, there’s a washing machine and a dishwasher, and WiFi works fine. You can bring up to two dogs. The rating is 5 Star, which just means it’s been inspected and meets that standard.
