Pippin Cottage is in Bures, Suffolk. It's a quiet spot on the edge of the village. The house is old, so the walls are thick. You get a good amount of daylight inside.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The thing you need to know is: to get to the main bedroom, you walk through the second bedroom. It's not quite a landing, it's more of a room you walk through. It's fine, but worth knowing.
There's a wood burner. It works well. The kitchen is modern, and there's a dishwasher and washing machine. The back has a small patio.
You can walk into Bures from the cottage. The River Stour is close. If you like walking or cycling, you can start right from the door. The path along the river is good for that.
Colchester is about nine miles away. You can drive it or get the train from Bures station. Sudbury is closer. For a day out, the Imperial War Museum Duxford is just over an hour by car. London is about an hour and a quarter by train.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's parking on site. All bedding and towels are included.
