This is Forest View Barn. It's set between Balcombe and Handcross in West Sussex, surrounded by old woods. It's a barn conversion, sleeps two, and has one bedroom with its own bathroom.
You come in through your own front door into the main living space. The ceilings are high. There's a TV. The kitchenette is in that corner, with a microwave, fridge, and a couple of appliances. It's a bit quirky but it does the job.
From there, a corridor leads to the bedroom. It has a super kingsize bed and bi-fold doors that open out. The view is all trees. You sometimes see deer at the edge of the garden. There's a walk-in wardrobe and the en-suite is fully tiled.
Outside, there's a small patio with a bench by the front door, and another little spot right outside the bedroom doors. There's a table and chairs on the lawn too. You can park a couple of cars on the drive.
The woods behind are private, so you can't walk into them. But there are plenty of good walks starting just a couple of minutes' drive away.
Balcombe village has a shop and pubs. It's about two miles for a meal or a drink. You can see the viaduct from there. Brighton is about 25 minutes by car. Trains from Balcombe station get you to London in around 45 minutes.
A couple of local National Trust places are within easy reach: Nymans and Wakehurst. The coast is about 20 miles.
Everything's included: bedding, towels, wifi, electricity. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's been done to a high standard.
