This place is up in Plains, which is a village in Lanarkshire. It’s on a working farm, right next to Easter Moffat Golf Course. You’ll see horses in the fields, and sometimes lambs in the garden in spring. It’s a bungalow, all on one level.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms: one super king, one king, and one twin. There’s one bathroom, which has both a bath and a separate shower. It’s got a 4 Star rating. The living room links to the dining area, so it feels quite open. There’s a wood burner for cooler days.
The kitchen is fine for cooking. Muddy boots or wet dogs can go straight into the utility room. There’s a garden that looks over the fields. Parking is right outside.
For getting around, it's handy. You’re only minutes from the M8, so you can be in Glasgow city centre in about 25 minutes. Edinburgh is under an hour. Stirling and Falkirk are each about half an hour away.
For a day out, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs are probably about 45 minutes’ drive. The Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel are in that direction too, which are worth a visit. If you fancy the coast, it's about an hour to the Firth of Forth.
The local village has a shop and a few things. The on-site golf course is the big local feature. If you want horse riding or fishing, that's available nearby.
Facilities wise: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are here if you need them. The place is wheelchair accessible at the entrance. You can bring up to two dogs.
