Bumbles Barn

Bumbles Barn is in Limerigg, near Falkirk. It's a one bedroom place, sleeps two. Detached, in its own courtyard.

It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's on one level. Open plan living area with a sofa, table and kitchenette. The shower room has shampoo and stuff provided, which is handy. There's a double bed in the bedroom. The owner leaves dressing gowns and thick blankets, which is a nice touch.

The main thing outside is the private hot tub. There's a covered bar area, a barbecue, and garden furniture. The courtyard is fully enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs.

You're right in the countryside here. There are miles of walks straight from the door, around the forest and Black Loch. Fishing and horse riding are nearby if that's your thing. Falkirk is a short drive for shops.

You're about halfway between Edinburgh and Glasgow. The local railway station is three minutes away by car, so you can easily get into either city for a day out or an evening. It's useful for the Edinburgh Festival.

Local attractions include the Falkirk Wheel and The Kelpies. Callendar House in Falkirk is worth a visit.

They allow pets. Up to three. There's a kennel and run outside if you need to leave your dog, and the owners can keep an eye on them for a small fee. They ask that you don't leave dogs alone in the barn itself.

Facilities include WiFi, TV, on-site parking, bike storage, and all bedding and towels. They can also arrange a breakfast hamper or other packages if you ask when you book.
