Bumbles Barn is in Limerigg, near Falkirk. It's a small, detached lodge, all on one level. It's set in its own walled courtyard, so it's very private. Inside, it's one open-plan room for the kitchen, dining, and living space, then a separate bedroom and a shower room.
The main thing outside is the private hot tub under a cover. There's also a covered bar area with seating, a barbecue, and garden furniture. The courtyard is fully enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog.
It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped, not luxurious. The owner provides robes and blankets to use. They can also do a breakfast hamper or other packages if you arrange it in advance.
You're in the countryside here, so it's quiet. There are good walks from the door around the local lochs and forests. For a day out, Falkirk has the main attractions. The Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies are about a 20-minute drive. Callendar House is in Falkirk too.
Location-wise, it's very central. You're roughly halfway between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The nearest train station is a few minutes' drive away in Polmont, so you can easily leave the car and get into either city.
On facilities: there's parking right next to the lodge, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. The owner is set up for pets, with a kennel and run available if you need to leave your dog. They can also provide pet crates.
