The Lucken is in Auchmithie, which is a small fishing village north of Arbroath. It's an end-terrace cottage at the very end of the lane, right on the cliff. The garden looks straight out to sea.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, with a woodburning stove for chilly evenings.
You can see porpoises and dolphins from the garden sometimes. The stairs are quite steep, just so you know.
There's a restaurant in the village about 300 yards away. It's good. For a shop, you need to go to Arbroath, which is about two miles. Arbroath has all the usual shops and you can get the smokies down at the harbour.
The coastal walk from the cottage to Arbroath is excellent. It follows the Seaton Cliffs. The path is right there.
Arbroath Abbey is worth a visit. There are plenty of golf courses around, including Carnoustie which is about seven miles away.
Further out, you've got Montrose, the RSPB reserve at Montrose Basin, and the House of Dun. All are within a 30 minute drive.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, wi-fi, and parking for one car. The garden is enclosed. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
