Drapers Cottage Lubenham

This is Drapers Cottage in Lubenham. It's right on the village high street, but it's set back off the road so it's quiet. The cottage itself is old and low, so mind your head on the beams. It's got a 4 Star rating.

It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. The stairs are the original cottage stairs, so they're steep and a bit narrow.

The garden is enclosed. You can bring one dog.

The pub is literally next door. It's dog friendly and does food. For a bigger shop, Market Harborough is two miles away. It's a market town with the usual supermarkets and some independent shops. You can get a train to London from there in about an hour.

If you like walking or cycling, the area is good for it. Foxton Locks is two miles away. It's a famous flight of ten locks on the canal. You can walk along there or take a boat trip. Foxton Locks has the visitor information.

Within about half an hour's drive, you've got Rutland Water for watersports and cycling. There are a few National Trust places like Lyveden and the Ulverscroft Nature Reserve.

In the cottage you've got a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. The electricity is all part of the price.
