Drapers Cottage Lubenham

Drapers Cottage is in Lubenham, a village just outside Market Harborough. It's on the main street, but set back a bit. The house is old, as you'd expect.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are there, and they're steep, narrow, and twist a bit. You need to watch your step.

There's a pub right next door. They're friendly and do food. You can take a dog.

Market Harborough is about two miles away. It's a proper market town with good shops and places to eat. The train from there gets you to London in an hour if you need it.

Foxton Locks is very close, maybe two miles. It's a famous set of canal locks. You can walk along the towpath, watch the boats, or visit the museum. It's a good afternoon out. The Canal & River Trust page for Foxton Locks has the current info.

For a bigger trip, Rutland Water is about half an hour's drive. You can walk, cycle, or do water sports there.

There are a few National Trust places within a reasonable drive, like Lyveden.

The facilities are all here. Wifi, TV, a dishwasher, garden with a table. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on the street outside.
