Wagtail Cottage Gartree

Wagtail Cottage is on our farm in Gartree. It's one of two single-storey barns we converted. The main thing is it's all on the ground floor. There's a ramp to the front door, so it's accessible if you need that.

It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and clean. You're welcome to bring up to two dogs.

Because it's a farm, you'll hear and see the animals. Mainly sheep. The other cottage, Waxwing, is next door and shares the driveway. They're separate, but there's a connecting door inside if a group books both.

It's quiet here. You look out over fields. The village of Foxton is a mile away. They have a shop and a cafe. The main thing there is Foxton Locks. It's a flight of ten locks on the canal. Good for a walk. There's a pub in Lubenham, also about a mile.

Market Harborough is about ten minutes by car. It's a proper market town with supermarkets, some nice places to eat, and a train station. The train to London takes about an hour.

For days out, Rutland Water is roughly half an hour's drive. You can walk, cycle, or sail there. There are a few National Trust places within easy reach, like Lyveden and Stoneywell. Leicester is about twenty minutes away if you need a city.

Inside, there's a wood burner for cooler nights. We supply the logs. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. All the bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside.
