Wagtail Cottage Gartree

Wagtail Cottage is on our farm near Gartree. It's one of two cottages converted from barns. They're joined by an internal door if you were coming with a bigger group, but we don't allow parties. It's all on one floor, which is handy.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which helps when you've got a few people. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.

The cottage looks out over the farmyard and fields. It's a working farm, so you'll see tractors and animals about. There's parking right outside.

Inside, there's underfloor heating and a woodburning stove. The kitchen has a dishwasher. There's a TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included.

We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. The entrance and the main rooms are wheelchair accessible, but the doorways are standard width.

The village of Foxton is about a mile away. They've got a shop. The main thing there is the Foxton Locks on the canal. It's good for a walk and a coffee. Lubenham is about the same distance and has a pub.

Market Harborough is five miles. It's a proper market town with shops and places to eat. The train from there gets to London in about an hour if you needed to.

For days out, Lyveden is a National Trust site nearby. Rutland Water is about half an hour's drive. You can walk, cycle, or sail there. There's fishing on the farm if you arrange it with us first.
