The Old Croft House is in Anaheilt, which is a small hamlet up the glen from Strontian village. It's a detached cottage. It was originally a blackhouse, one of the old crofters' cottages, but it's been done up now.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, but it's not a hotel.
The cottage is on a hillside, so you get good views down the glen. There's a natural garden and a sheltered bit round the back with a table for sitting out. There's a shed you can use for bikes or wet coats.
Strontian village is a couple of miles down the road. It has a shop, a post office, a couple of places to eat, and a pub. It's a proper village. The Ariundle Oakwoods are nearby for walking.
You're on the Ardnamurchan peninsula. The lighthouse at the tip is about an hour's drive. The beaches at Sanna and Ardtoe are stunning. You might see otters or sea eagles along Loch Sunart.
Inside, it's all on one level which is helpful. There's a woodburning stove for heat. It's got WiFi and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
