This is Jack Strawbale House, up near Strontian in the Highlands. It's a detached modern house, built to be very accessible.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms downstairs, both with their own bathrooms. Everything is on one level or there's a wheelchair lift to the living floor. The doors are wide, the showers are walk-in, and there are grab rails and hoists where you'd need them. The kitchen worktops are lowered.
The main living area is upstairs. It's one big open room with floor to ceiling windows. The view is the main thing, all hills and loch. There are big balconies on both levels to sit out on. The lower one has a hot tub.
It's got a 5 Star rating. It's warm and clean and everything works. It’s powered by its own hydro scheme and a heat pump. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. All bedding and towels are included. No pets.
You’re quite remote up here. The nearest shop and pub are about a mile and a half away in Strontian. For a beach, you're looking at about 12 miles to get to the coast.
