Tawny Acre Barn

Tawny Acre Barn is on the edge of Walton Highway, up near Wisbech. It's a converted barn, so it's all on one level. No stairs at all. The main space is open plan, which is good if you're all wanting to be together. There's a second living area with a sofa bed and some games, and French doors out to the garden.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating. It's very clean and well finished. The garden is enclosed and there's a hot tub. A footbridge leads from the garden into a one-acre meadow, which is handy if you've got kids or a dog to run about.

It's quite rural. There's a farm shop and restaurant about a mile and a half away. For a supermarket or more places to eat, Wisbech is about five miles. It has what you need.

The coast is about half an hour's drive. You've got Hunstanton, which is a traditional seaside town. The beaches along that stretch are sandy. The Sandringham Estate is in that direction too, when it's open. For birdwatching, the RSPB reserves at Titchwell or Snettisham are up there.

If you head inland, Ely and its cathedral is about 40 minutes. Cambridge is a bit over an hour. The property is a good base for seeing bits of Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire without being right in the middle of it all.

Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and towels are included. No pets. There is another barn on the same site, Woodpecker Barn, so the two could be booked together for a bigger group.
