Achnashellach Bothy
Achnashellach Bothy is a cottage near Achnashellach station. It's very remote. You're in the middle of the Scottish Highlands, down a single-track road.
The house itself sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. The stairs are steep, like in a lot of old places. The bathroom is small, with a shower over the bath. The kitchen has what you need, fridge-freezer, washing machine. There's a wood burner in the living room.
The garden is at the front. We ask that dogs are kept on a lead because deer and other animals come right through. You can bring one dog.
You're surrounded by hills and forest. The local station is a request stop. For a shop or a pub, you have to drive. Kinlochewe is the closest village, about fifteen minutes away. They have a small shop and a hotel that does meals.
If you want to go further, the coast at Gairloch or Lochcarron is about half an hour's drive. Torridon is also close by for the big mountains. It's all walking country really.
Included in the stay: bedding, towels, WiFi, parking. We can provide a cot. You can book this place together with Garden Cottage next door if you're a bigger group.
