Carron View is in Achnashellach. It's a traditional cottage, facing west towards the Carron river valley. The view from the front is over croft land to the hills. It's quiet.
The house sleeps five. There are three bedrooms upstairs and two bathrooms, one on each floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well equipped, not luxury. The stairs are normal.
There's a pub about three miles away in Craig. For a proper shop, Lochcarron village is four miles. It has a couple of pubs, a small supermarket, and a 9-hole golf course.
The location is good for being outside. You're right at the foot of mountains like Beinn Liath Mhòr for walking. Mountain bike trails start from the door. The Applecross peninsula is about half an hour's drive, over the Bealach na Bà pass. The road is single track and very steep in places, but the views are something else.
The coast is close. Plockton is about twenty minutes by car. It's a pretty village with palm trees. You can get boat trips from there. The Isle of Skye bridge is about forty minutes drive. That gets you to the Cuillin hills or places like Portree.
In the house you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. There's parking. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
