The Old Stables

The Old Stables is in Little Alne. It's one of two cottages converted from an old farm stable block. Ours is on the left. The cottage is detached now, so you're not sharing walls with anyone.

The conversion was done well, it's a solid place. It's got that 4 Star rating. What that means is it's comfortable, everything works, and it's clean. You'll be fine.

There are three bedrooms that sleep six, and two bathrooms. One is downstairs. It's open plan upstairs, with a wood burner. The ceilings are high, which makes it feel spacious. The stairs up are fine, but the decorative mezzanine bit has a steep ladder. Just so you know.

You've got your own little enclosed garden out the back, with a patio and a BBQ. Parking is right there, and there's an electric car charger if you need it.

Inside, there's everything: washing machine, dishwasher, good wifi, TV, a cot and highchair if you're bringing a little one. All the bedding and towels are included.

Little Alne itself is quiet. It's a hamlet. There are some local shops and a cafe a short walk away, and a pub. The pub does food. You can walk straight out onto country lanes from the door.

For getting further out, you're in a good spot. Stratford-upon-Avon is about fifteen minutes by car. That's where all the Shakespeare stuff is. Henley-in-Arden is close too, nice for a wander and an ice cream. Alcester is a pretty town. If you want to go into the Cotswolds, you can be there in half an hour. The NEC is about twenty-five minutes away if you're going to an event.
