Craik Forestry Cottage
Craik Forestry Cottage is in Teviothead. It's remote. The nearest town with a supermarket and pubs is Hawick, which is about twelve miles away.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The garden at the back is enclosed and looks straight out onto fields and forest. It's a good view.
The internet is not reliable here. Mobile signal is very patchy. The TV has Sky though. There's a wood burner for heating, and a range cooker in the kitchen. A utility room at the back is handy for boots and wet dogs. You can bring up to two pets.
Being here is about the outdoors. You're right in the forest for walking, mountain biking, or horse riding. There's local fishing. For a day out, you can drive into the Northumberland National Park or up to the Forestry and Land Scotland sites. The Visit Scotland site has walking route ideas.
Inside, it's got what you'd need: washing machine, towels, a stairgate if you've got little ones. Parking is right there.
