River Lodge Annexe
River Lodge Annexe is in the Rhondda. It's a self-contained place next to the main house where we live. We had it converted properly in 2022, so everything is modern and works.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. Wheelchair access is okay at the entrance, but the inside is all on one level so it's fine for getting around.
You're just outside Treorchy. There's a railway station a couple of minutes' walk away. A train to Cardiff takes about 40 minutes. The bus stop is just as close.
The garden is a patio area that's just for you. You can hear the river from there sometimes. There's parking right there too.
If you're into mountain biking, you're in a good spot. Bike Park Wales is half an hour away. Afan Forest Park is closer and very well known for it. For walking, the Brecon Beacons aren't far.
The Gower Peninsula is about an hour's drive. That's for the beaches. Closer by, Margam Country Park has a lot going on, and Zip World is fifteen minutes up the road.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are provided. No pets, I'm afraid.
