Victoria's Haven is in Kirkcaldy. It's a mid-terrace stone villa, a listed building. It's about a minute's walk from the seafront promenade and the beach.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One shower room is downstairs. It's a 3 Star place. We decorated it a couple of years ago, so it's comfortable but not swanky.
The lounge is a good size, and there's a separate dining room. The kitchen is a galley style. It works fine.
The garden is long, about a hundred feet. It's mainly raised beds. There's a patio area at the bottom and a small lawn at the top that gets the evening sun.
You can see the sea from the two front bedrooms.
The town centre is a few minutes' walk away for shops. The Fife Coastal Path runs right past the end of the street. For a longer walk, Ravenscraig Park and Castle are very close.
Kirkcaldy is handy. Edinburgh is about half an hour's drive. St Andrews is about forty minutes away if you're interested in golf or the university. Dundee is under an hour.
The East Neuk fishing villages are nearby, places like Anstruther and Pittenweem. They're worth a visit.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, bedding and towels included. There's a BBQ and the garden is enclosed. It's wheelchair accessible to get in, and there's a walk-in shower downstairs. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
