Dairy Farm
This is Dairy Farm in Sherfield English. It's a thatched cottage, sixteenth century, so it's old. It's detached and sits on three acres of land.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a Four Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after, but it is an old building.
The stairs are steep and winding. There's a low bit at the bottom you need to mind your head on. The floor slopes a bit in one of the bedrooms. That's just how it is.
The living room is big enough for a family. There's a wood burner and a Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric Aga and a Nespresso machine.
Outside, there's a large pond in the garden. It's not fenced and the garden isn't fully enclosed, so you need to be careful with dogs and young children. There's an enclosed dog field next door though. You can park on site.
You can take two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi.
The local pub is a short walk away. Romsey is a nice market town about ten minutes by car. It's got shops, restaurants, and a leisure centre with a pool.
You're on the edge of the New Forest, which is about a fifteen minute drive. For walking, the Test Way and Clarendon Way are close by. Mottisfont is nearby, and so is the Hillier Arboretum.
Within half an hour you've got Paultons Park, Marwell Zoo, Winchester, Salisbury, and Southampton. Bournemouth and the coast are about thirty minutes away.
