The Old Dairy Sutton on Trent

The Old Dairy is on our farm, just outside Sutton on Trent. It's a converted barn. It's semi-detached, so there's another holiday cottage next door, The Parlour, but you've got your own garden and parking.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. Everything's on the ground floor, which makes it easy if stairs are a problem. There are also grab rails in the bathrooms. There's an electric vehicle charger on site.

The farm is peaceful, just fields around you. But you're only a few minutes from the A1, so getting to places is straightforward.

The local pub is about a mile away in the village. It does food. There's a shop there too. The River Trent is close by if you're into fishing. You can walk or cycle straight from the door into the countryside.

Newark's about a 15-minute drive. They've got the castle ruins, antique fairs, and the showground for events. Lincoln is fantastic, it's about half an hour away. The cathedral and castle are up on the hill. Lincoln Cathedral is worth the trip on its own.

For a day out, Sherwood Forest is within half an hour. The National Trust looks after it. Rufford Abbey country park is also about 30 minutes by car.

Facilities: it's got the things you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. We allow one well-behaved dog. It's a working farm, so you'll see animals about, but please keep dogs on a lead.
