The Parlour
The Parlour is out here on our farm in Sutton on Trent. It's one half of a semi-detached barn conversion we did. The front looks out over our fields and the back has a private patio.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well finished. The main living space is open plan, kitchen, dining, sitting area all in one. It's all on the ground floor, no steps.
You're on a farm, so there are tractors going past sometimes. It's quiet at night. The A1 is close by for getting about, but you can't hear the road.
There's a local pub about a mile away in the village. It does food. The nearest shop is about the same distance.
The River Trent is nearby if you fish. There's a fishing lake a short drive away too. You can walk or cycle straight from the door on the local paths.
Newark is about ten minutes in the car. They have antiques fairs and a market. Lincoln is maybe half an hour's drive. The cathedral is worth seeing. For a bigger day out, Sherwood Forest is about 40 minutes away.
Facilities: there's parking right outside, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and an electric vehicle charger. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
This place can be booked together with the property next door, The Old Dairy, if you're a bigger group.
