Southfield Steventon

This is Southfield. It's a detached bungalow in Steventon, Oxfordshire. It's on the main road into the village, so you do get some traffic noise. It was built in 2020 as a holiday let, so everything is modern and works properly.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. Because it's all on one level and the doorways are wide, it's suitable for a wheelchair. The garden is enclosed so it's safe for kids or a dog. You get a view over the fields from there.

Inside, there's an open plan kitchen and dining area. The living room has a gas fire that looks like a wood burner. It's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are provided. Parking is on the drive.

You can bring one well-behaved dog.

The village shop and a couple of pubs are about a five-minute walk. There's a bakery and a restaurant too. In summer, you can watch cricket on the village green.

For days out, Abingdon is about five miles. It's an old town on the Thames. Didcot is the same distance, and the Railway Centre there is good if you like trains. Oxford is obviously the main draw. It's about a 25-minute drive. You can park at the park and ride and get the bus in. For walks, the Ridgeway on the Berkshire Downs is close by. The Chilterns are within half an hour.
