Cauldside West Cottage East Linton

Cauldside West Cottage is a semi-detached cottage on our farm, Smeaton Estate. It's on a rough farm track, so you'll hear the odd tractor go past. You're welcome to walk around the estate lanes.

It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom downstairs. It's a 4 Star place. It's comfortable, with gas central heating, and there's a wood burner for colder nights. We provide logs for that.

The garden is enclosed, which is good for dogs or if you have kids. It looks out over fields. You'll often see roe deer and sometimes the Highland cattle.

It's about a mile's walk into East Linton village. There are two pubs and a small supermarket there. The village also has Preston Mill, which is National Trust for Scotland.

Dunbar is about six miles away. That's where you'll find the bigger shops and the coast. The John Muir Country Park beaches are there. North Berwick is about seven miles, with its beach and golf courses.

Edinburgh is 25 miles away. The train from Dunbar gets you into the city centre in about 20 minutes. It's easier than driving in.

In terms of what's here: there's parking, an outside shed for bikes, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. The entrance and living area are all on the ground floor. Bedding and towels are included.
