Shepherds Cottage is on our farm in Pitcox, near Dunbar. It's a detached, single-storey place, all on the ground floor. There's a proper enclosed garden, with a patio and some furniture.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. One of the bathrooms is a wet room and the place is set up for wheelchair access, with grab rails and level access from the parking area.
The kitchen is a decent size and has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a wood burning stove in the living room. The patio doors from there go straight out to the garden. Wi-Fi and all the utilities are included.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see and hear the usual comings and goings. The nearest shop, pub, and restaurants are about four miles away in Dunbar.
Dunbar itself has a good high street and beaches. You can get the train from there into Edinburgh, it takes about 20 minutes. North Berwick is along the coast, maybe 15 minutes by car. They've got the Scottish Seabird Centre there. A bit further along, you've got Tantallon Castle, which is Historic Environment Scotland.
This is good golfing country. There are courses all along the coast. For walking, the John Muir Way passes close by. The Lammermuir hills are about a 20-minute drive inland if you want proper hills.
No pets, I'm afraid.
