Shepherds Cottage is on our working farm in Pitcox. It's a single-storey place, all on the ground floor, so no stairs at all. That might be useful. It's detached and you have your own garden, which is a good size.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms. There are actually three bathrooms as well, which is handy with a full house. One's a wet room. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well equipped.
The living room has a wood burner. We leave you some logs to get started. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's parking right outside.
Being a farm, you'll see and hear the tractors going about, especially in the mornings and afternoons. It's next to a road too, so there's some traffic noise. The buses aren't great out here, so you really do need a car.
Dunbar is about four miles away. It's got shops, pubs, and places to eat. The coast there is nice for a walk. North Berwick is about twenty minutes in the car. The Scottish Seabird Centre is there if that's your sort of thing.
You can get the train into Edinburgh from Dunbar, it takes about twenty minutes. That's easier than driving in and parking. If you're here for golf, there are plenty of courses nearby.
For planning days out, the National Trust for Scotland in East Lothian and John Muir Way websites are useful.
Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
