Rose Cottage Beddingham

Rose Cottage is in Beddingham, a small village just off the main road between Lewes and Eastbourne. It's part of a pair of cottages in our grounds. The garden is enclosed so it's safe for kids or dogs.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. The whole ground floor is wheelchair accessible, which isn't that common around here.

The view from the back is of Mount Caburn. It's a big chalk hill with an old Iron Age fort on top. You can walk up there from the village. The South Downs Way runs right past as well.

For a shop, you'll need to drive a mile and a half to the local farm shop. The pub is about a mile away, a proper walk. It's a nice one.

Lewes is very close, about ten minutes by car. It's got the castle, independent shops, and good cafes. Glyndebourne opera house is just up the road. Brighton is about a twenty minute drive for the seafront and lanes. Eastbourne is a bit further, maybe half an hour.

If you've got children, Drusillas Zoo is five minutes away. The Seven Sisters cliffs and Cuckmere Haven are about twenty minutes drive. Beachy Head is the same.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
