This is Mill Cottage. It's up in John o' Groats, right at the top. It's detached, so it's just you and this bit of garden. It used to be a grain mill and they've converted it. The old waterwheel is still there outside.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower, no bath. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not modern luxury.
The sea is about 200 yards away. You can walk into John o' Groats village centre easily. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant all about half a mile away.
The place looks out over fields. You get a lot of sky up here. You'll see plenty of birds. Seals are common. If you're lucky you might spot dolphins or even whales further out.
The walk out to Duncansby Head and the stacks is spectacular. You can see the castle at Mey from the road. Thurso and Wick are both within half an hour's drive for bigger shops.
In terms of stuff here, it has a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
A useful thing to know: the cottage is run by the John o' Groats Mill Trust. The big mill next door has been restored and works. You get a free pass to go and look around, which is interesting if you like that sort of thing.
For planning, the National Trust for Scotland page for Duncansby Head has good information, and Visit Scotland's Highlands page gives a broader picture.
