Owl Cottage is up near Golspie, in the Highlands. It's a detached house, so no neighbours through the walls. You get views out over the fields to the Moray Firth.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. It used to be a croft house and it's been extended.
You're about a five minute drive from a sandy beach. The nearest shops and places to eat are in Brora, which is about five miles away.
Golspie is to the south. You've got the beach, Dunrobin Castle, and Ben Bhraggie for walking. Helmsdale, to the north, is a fishing village. From there, you can drive further north to John O'Groats if you want.
Inverness is about an hour's drive. It's the main city for this part of the Highlands. If you're interested in history, some of the Neolithic sites in Orkney are a few hours' drive north, past John O'Groats.
The place has a woodburning stove, which is good for cooler evenings. There's a garden and parking. We can take one well-behaved dog. We provide bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, wifi, and a travel cot and highchair if you need them.
