Owl Cottage is on the Crofts at Crackaig. It's a detached, old croft house that's been extended. It sleeps six, has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The rating is 3 Star. It's comfortable and clean but it's not a show home.
The living room looks out over the fields towards the Moray Firth. You can see the water from the front windows. There's a woodburning stove for colder nights. It's got a proper garden, and it's completely private.
The nearest beach is about five minutes away by car. It's sandy. Golspie and Helmsdale are both within a fifteen minute drive. Golspie has a good shop and a pharmacy. Helmsdale is a fishing village, it's got a couple of places to eat. The nearest pub and a small shop are about five miles away.
If you're planning trips, Inverness is under an hour south. John O'Groats is about an hour and a half north. The Orkney ferry goes from Scrabster, which is maybe two hours drive. For local walks, the area is all hills and coast. You can get onto the Walkhighlands website for routes.
In terms of things here, it's all listed. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, a highchair, and a stairgate if you need them. Parking is right outside.
