The twenty-mile single-track road from Shiel Bridge to Corran is itself a dramatic introduction to Wester Ross. If you do want day trips from the hut, the Isle of Skye awaits. You can reach the misty isle via the characterful turntable ferry at Glenelg, or go the long way round on the road, which passes iconic Eilan Donan Castle.
