Belger Cottage
Belger Cottage is in Cairnbulg, part of Inverallochy. It's a detached fisherman's cottage, just redone. It’s right by the sea, about thirty seconds walk to the shore.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been renovated so it's in good order, comfortable, but it's still a cottage. The rooms are done up in a quiet style.
There's a small enclosed courtyard out front with a table and chairs. It's a sunny spot.
The village is quiet. Lots of narrow streets and alleys. It feels like how it must have been when this was all fishing. There's a mini museum called Maggie's Hoose at the end of the street that shows what a traditional cottage was like.
For facilities, it's got a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
There's a shop and a restaurant about 300 yards away. A pub is 400 yards.
Inverallochy Golf Club is nearby. The beach at Whitelinks Bay is good for a walk. You can walk from the harbour, through the village, and back, about 6km.
If you drive, the RSPB reserve at Loch of Strathbeg is about ten minutes south. Fraserburgh has shops and is close. Aberdeen is an hour's drive.
