Harbour View is a one-bedroom bungalow in Tayport. It's just back from the marina, so you look out over all the boats. You can see them from the living room, or step out the patio doors to the little enclosed area at the front.
It sleeps two. One double bedroom, one bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything you need is there: the kitchen is well-equipped, there's a TV and wifi, and bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Out the back is a small patio with a table and chairs. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
The place is all on the ground floor. The layout is straightforward, which is useful.
In Tayport itself, there's a local pub. For walks, Tentsmuir Forest and Beach is a few miles up the coast. The beach there is really good, long and sandy. There's a proper network of paths through the pine woods. You can cycle all along the coast path towards St Andrews on dedicated tracks.
St Andrews is about a half-hour drive. Obviously it's famous for golf. The Old Course is there, but there are plenty of other courses too. Scotscraig, which is a links course, is just five minutes from the cottage.
Dundee is over the Tay Road Bridge, maybe 15-20 minutes by car. That's where you'll find the V&A museum and the RRS Discovery. There are more shops and restaurants there. If you're interested in distilleries, the Tayport Distillery is nearby.
