A fantastic holiday home north of Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis. The community of Coll lies 10 minutes’ drive north of Stornoway and the collection of houses are positioned above the large, sweeping sandy beach. A real treat staying at Casa Hassle is the ease of being able to simply stroll down to the shore and enjoy the golden sands. Other even better beaches, which is hard to believe, are nearby and worth exploring. At Tolsta just north of Coll there are a collection of outstanding sandy beaches that you’ll want to visit over and over again during your stay. Being close to Stornoway is a real advantage because not only is it a charming, interesting town, but it is a great place from which to access other amazing spots on the island.
You can be in the far north at the Butt of Lewis in 45 minutes, exploring the Callanish Standing Stones and Blackhouse village on the west coast in 30 minutes, or strolling around the astonishing Uig Bay also on the west coast in under an hour and in little more than hour’s drive you can be beyond the southern hills roaming the other-worldly island of Harris, which is actually joined to Lewis. The house itself has been renovated to a high standard and offers an exceptional holiday home for a family of four or even just a couple wanting more space. Entering the main front door you have the living room on the right, and to the left a dining room with kitchen beyond. From the kitchen there is another door out to the wrap around, enclosed garden. On the first floor there’s a family shower room and two bedrooms with great views of the sea. One bedroom is a double and the other is a twin. It’s an incredibly comfortable holiday home in a fantastic, scenic, coastal and rural location, from which you have sea views. What more could you want for a holiday on the Isle of Lewis.
