Warren Lodge
Warren Lodge is on the Warren Estate in Woodham Walter, Essex. It's a detached house, so you've got your own space. The garden is private. The place looks out over the golf course, so it feels quite open.
It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up recently, so everything is clean and works. The stairs are fine, no surprises.
The main thing here is the estate itself. You get access to the health club, which has a heated indoor pool, a gym, and a sauna. You need to book slots for the pool, but it's included. There are two golf courses on site if you play.
For pubs and shops, you'll need to drive. The nearest village is about a mile away. Maldon is ten minutes by car. That's a proper town with a high street, supermarkets, and a quay on the Blackwater Estuary. It's nice for a walk.
The coast is about half an hour away. Places like Bradwell-on-Sea or Burnham-on-Crouch. They're good for a day out if you like that flat, estuary landscape. For historical sites, you're close to places like Hadleigh Castle or Paycocke's in Coggeshall. Chelmsford is fifteen minutes the other way for shopping or the cinema.
In the house, you've got a woodburning stove for colder nights. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. All the bedding and towels are provided. There's plenty of parking right outside. No pets allowed, I'm afraid.
