Torreagles is a converted church in Clola, about eight miles inland from the coast at Cruden Bay. It’s detached and sits on about an acre of garden. You’ll know it when you drive up the tree-lined driveway.
It sleeps ten people in five bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s well set up and comfortable. The living room is upstairs to make the most of the stained glass window. The ceilings are high.
The main living space is on the ground floor. The kitchen and dining area open out to the back garden through sliding doors. There's a cinema room and a games room, which are useful if the weather turns.
The garden is large and enclosed. It’s mature, with lawns and some big trees, including a monkey puzzle. There are a couple of patio areas and a summerhouse.
Mintlaw is about three miles away. It has a supermarket, a pub, and some takeaways. Aden Country Park is there. It’s good for a walk or a cycle. Aden Country Park.
The beach at Cruden Bay is eight miles east. It’s a long, sandy beach. The ruins of Slains Castle are there too. Newburgh beach is about fourteen miles south. You can often see seals there. It’s next to the Forvie National Nature Reserve. Forvie National Nature Reserve.
If you’re into golf, there are several courses within half an hour, including Cruden Bay, Trump International, and Royal Aberdeen.
Facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is on site. You can bring up to two dogs.
