The Hayloft is a one-bedroom loft conversion, above what used to be the stables at Harris Croft Farm. It sleeps four, I guess because the sofa in the living area turns into a double bed if you need it. The bathroom is up there with you.
It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's clean, modern, and warm. You're up a flight of external stairs to get in. It's all open plan inside, so the kitchen, living, and sleeping area is all one room. You can see the beams.
The view from the main window is over the farm fields. The patio is enclosed, so it's safe for dogs. You can park right outside.
You're about half a mile outside Royal Wootton Bassett. It's a market town. There's a decent Co-op, a few pubs doing food, and some takeaways. The farm feels quiet, but you can walk into town in ten minutes if you want.
The M4 is about five minutes away by car, which makes getting around easy. Bath is about half an hour's drive. Bristol, Swindon, and Marlborough are all within thirty minutes. For a day out, you've got Longleat, or the steam railway at the Swindon & Cricklade Railway.
If you like walking, there are paths from the farm into the countryside. Avebury and Stonehenge are both close by. The National Trust has a few properties nearby too.
Included: all your bedding and towels, the WiFi, a washing machine, a stairgate if you need it, and parking. We take up to three dogs.
