Dairy Cottage is on Harris Croft Farm, just outside Royal Wootton Bassett. It’s a one bedroom place but it sleeps four, with a sofa bed in the living area. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s clean and comfortable.
You get the whole place to yourself. It’s open plan downstairs. There’s a kitchen area, a table, and the sofa bed. Stairs go up to the bedroom and bathroom. The stairs are a bit tight, to be honest. You’ll need to mind your head on the beam at the top.
The farm is quiet. You look out over fields. The Wi-Fi works. There’s a washing machine and towels are provided. You can park right outside.
We can take up to three dogs. There’s a charge for that. We sometimes have horses on the farm. If you want to bring your own horse for livery, you’d need to arrange that with us beforehand.
The nearest shop is a few minutes’ walk. There’s a pub about half a mile away that does food.
For getting around, you’re right by the M4. Bath and Bristol are about half an hour’s drive. Swindon is ten minutes the other way.
If you like history, you’re in a good spot. Avebury is close. Stonehenge is about twenty five minutes by car. Longleat is around forty minutes away.
There are good walks from the door. The Wiltshire countryside is right there. For local information, the National Trust and Cranborne Chase National Landscape sites are useful.
