This place is called Swona. It's in Mey, up on the north coast of Scotland. It's about a five minute walk from Dunnet Bay beach. You can see Orkney from the front windows.
It's a detached lodge. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. Sleeps four. It's got a four star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The main room is open plan. One whole wall is glass, so you get the full view of the sea. It's a good spot to sit and watch the weather come in. The deck wraps around the outside. It's fully fenced, so it's secure. There's a six-person hot tub out there.
You're a hundred yards from the beach. Dunnet Bay is a big stretch of sand, good for walking. If you want to go further, John O'Groats is five miles away. Thurso is about ten miles, that's where the main shops are. The ferry to Orkney goes from Scrabster.
