This is Moy. It's a cottage on our farm in Achahoish, Argyll. It's detached and you're on your own down a private track. The setting is rural. Very rural. The nearest proper shops are about 16 miles away in Lochgilphead, so you come here to be away from things.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. Everything’s on the ground floor, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's warm, clean and well looked after.
The view from the front is over fields to Loch Sween and the Isle of Jura. You get good sunsets. The cottage sits in a bit of a wooded spot, so you often see deer right from the windows. If you walk down to the shore, which isn't far, you might see seals or an otter.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and a barbecue outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right there. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
If you want to explore, Castle Sween is an old ruin right on the lochside. Kilmartin Glen is about half an hour's drive north and is full of ancient standing stones and burial sites. If you're interested in wildlife, the beaver reintroduction project in Knapdale Forest is nearby. For a good walk or a boat trip, the Crinan Canal is worth a visit. Tayvallich, a little village on the water, has a pub that does seafood.
