Cruinn is on our farm, near Achahoish. It's a detached cottage. The view from the front is over Loch Sween and out towards Jura. You get good sunsets.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable but not flash. Because it's a cottage, the ceilings are a bit low in the hall, so mind your head.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see sheep and maybe some Highland cattle. There's natural woodland right beside the cottage. You can walk down to the seashore from here, it's about five minutes. We often see seals. Otters are around too, but they're shy.
The location is quiet. For shops and things, Lochgilphead is about half an hour's drive. They've got supermarkets, a few places to eat, and an indoor swimming pool. The nearest pub is at Tayvallich, which is a lovely little village by the water. It does good seafood.
If you like history, you're in a good spot. Castle Sween is the oldest castle on the Scottish mainland, it's just a few minutes down the road. Kilmartin Glen is about twenty minutes away, it's full of ancient standing stones and burial cairns. For nature, Knapdale Forest is close by for walks and a chance to see the beavers.
Facilities: It's all on the ground floor. There's parking right outside. It's open plan inside. You've got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring two dogs. There's a garden with a patio and a barbecue.
